The Minneapolis Uptown Market is a street market with local farmers, food vendors, artisans, craftspeople, and neighbors. Summer 2012 will be our fourth season and will run every Sunday from mid June through the end of September.

Add us into your grocery routine and have a great summer cooking with locally grown food. We’ll also have some outstanding prepared foods, so come hungry! We’re not just about food though with our rotating selection of artists, crafters and local organizations as well as musicians, you’ll find something new every week. We hope you’ll join us often!

Be a part of the 2012 season! 

Uptown Market, a local arts, crafts, food, and produce market, is seeking volunteers to help plan and execute a successful fourth market season. Uptown Market was founded in 2009, and works to connect local artisans of all varieties with customers in the greater Uptown area. Unlike typical farmers markets, we place a particular emphasis on creating a venue for local arts and crafts.

There are many ways to get involved in Uptown Market, with varying time commitments.

Board Member: Uptown Market is seeking board members to serve on our managing board. Board members serve two-year terms and oversee and manage all aspects of market operation and governance. Board members also serve on and chair committees. The board meets on the second thursday of every month from 6:30-8:00pm. Click here for the (pdf) Uptown Market Board position description.

Committee Member: We are seeking committee members for all standing committees. Committee members do not need to serve on the Managing Board. Committees meet monthly or as needed, and manage specific areas of market operation. The following standing committees report to the Managing Board: Fundraising, Marketing, Logistics, and Vendor.

Volunteer: Uptown Market is an all-volunteer-run market, with no paid staff. In addition to serving on the board and committees, volunteers help in many other ways, including staffing the market on Sundays during the summer, hanging flyers, and helping out at fundraisers and other events.
